These are the best ways to vacation in true “Westeros” fashion

“Game of Thrones” fans are finally happy now that the show has returned for its final season There’s no doubt fans of the HBO show get a little crazy when it comes to the program, with many wanting to visit some of the locations where the show is filmed, and there are certainly plenty of ways for them to get their “GOT” on while traveling.

“GOT” inspired tours/events include:

  • GetYourGuide will be offering a “GOT” tour next month, including a trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to see Lovrijenac Fortress, which doubled as King’s Landing, as well as “Thrones”-themed stops in Northern Ireland, Spain and Iceland.
  • Travel Pirates offers a glamping tour that includes Castle Ward in Belfast, which served as Winterfell, the Starks’ ancestral home. The trip features traditional costumes, sword fighting with props and more.
  • In New York, the Refinery hotel has created Lannister’s Lair, a room where fans can watch the HBO show every Sunday until the end of the six-episode final season. It features lavish throws, a “GOT”-inspired meal and more.
  • Fans can also travel to Malta, where season one of the show was filmed, and check out such first season locations that servied as Kings Landing, the Red Waste, the Tower of the Hand, King’s Square.
