New Music Friday!! We couldn’t find a ton of new POP songs this week, but that lack in quantity is made up with quality from some of the biggest stars in music.

First and foremost, seemingly out of nowhere, Ariana Grande, dropped her 2020 album Positions. We had our first taste last week with the title track, but this week we got everything else! “34+35” and “motive” ft Doja Cat are trending up, her single “off the table,” ft The Weeknd is the top song of the week just because of the star power behind it. The song is slow, chill, and has absolutely incredible vocals. But if you needed more sexiness in your life? This album, as a whole, is exactly what you need. Listen to it all here.

Sam Smith also, finally, dropped his album after postponing it back in the spring. Love Goes is filled with collaborations – Demi Lovato, Normani, Calvin Harris, and Labrinth; this album covers every genre, every emotion, and shows Sam Smith at his best. Specifically “Kids Again,” hits his slower acoustic vibe and really hits emotionally with his perfect vocals and imagery of childhood heartbreak. Listen to all of Love Goes here.

There are two more singles on the list. Dua Lipa is back with a new single, teaming up with Angéle on “Fever.” Dua seems to have moved on from the 80’s sound she’s been riding all year but keeps the dance feel that she’s always had, but this time with a touch of French. Alicia Keys  and Brandi Carlisle have the final single of the week, coming together for a beautiful piece with two unbelievable voices in a statement of unity in “Beautiful Noise”
