The Weeknd will headline the 2021 Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show on February 7. The event follows the 2020 edition that was headlined by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. The Weeknd said we all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position. I’m humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year. Of course, there are issues that could complicate the specifics surrounding the Halftime Show and Super Bowl as a whole, stemming from the pandemic. Nothing has been announced regarding the Super Bowl or Fan attendance at the event just yet.

He found inspiration early on from musical heroes like Prince, David Bowie, Elvis, Freddie Mercury and Elton John, all who he describes as showmen.
