The 2021 Grammys, scheduled for January 31 have been postponed due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19. The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards will now take place Sunday, March 14. After debating with health experts, the Recording Academy concluding this was the right thing to do. Holiday gatherings have caused a surge in cases especially in LA, the home of this year’s show. Beyonce is this year’s nominations leader with nine noms, followed by Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Roddy Rich with six each.
The Weeknd continued his red suit saga for his new Save Your Tears music video, this time removing the bloodied bandages to reveal a botched-up face full of botox, fillers and plastic surgery. The clips finds him performing at an eerie masquerade ball with fans thinking this is a reference to fake celebs at awards show. More specifically everyone is thinking he’s bringing shade to the Grammys for not giving him any nominations, despite such a successful year for him. Yeti coolers customized by Billie Eilish, Finneas, the Beastie Boys and many more are being auctioned to raise money for the Crew Nation COVID-19 relief fund. Following an earlier auction that brought in three and four figure bids for coolers from Chris Stapleton, Green Day, Jason Aldean and many more, the crew encore edition effort is open until January 12. The One of the Roadies auction will benefit touring and venue crew workers who have been put out of work due to the pandemic. All proceeds will go to Live Nation’s Crew Nation Charity. Lil Nas X is officially a children’s book author. He takes fans ages 3-7 through an alphabetical journey in C is for Country, which officially release yesterday. The adorable illustrations by Theodore Taylor III show off Lil Nas X’s fashion taste (F is for fringe. And feathers. And fake fur.) and his pony Panini, named after his hit. He joked on Twitter, my children’s book C is for Country is out! Go get it please I really need to pay my rent. The book is also promised to include plenty of hidden surprises for his fans.
