ViacomCBS made a slew of big announcements yesterday about its new streaming service, Paramount+, launching March 4th.
On the movie side: Mission: Impossible 7, A Quiet Place Part II, and the Paw Patrol movie will all start streaming just 45 days after they hit theaters later this year. It was also confirmed that new installments in the Paranormal Activity and Pet Sematary franchises are among the productions being made exclusively for Paramount+.
Among the TV headlines, Kelsey Grammer will reprise his title role in the long-teased reboot of Frasier. A host of classic MTV and VH1 shows are also getting new lives, including: Road Rules, The Challenge, Behind the Music, Yo! MTV Raps and Unplugged. Paramount+ will also reboot Nickelodeon’s classic cartoon Rugrats with the original voice cast, along with live-action series remakes of both Dora The Explorer and The Fairly Odd Parents.
