Ask and you shall receive…sometimes! That’s the case for Bruno Mars anyway. He asked the Recording Academy to please add his duo Silk Sonic to this weekend’s Grammys performing lineup. Sure enough, it’s happening. Anderson .Paak and Mars announced they will be there, performing for one night only. You will most like be hearing their new single Leave the Door Open which was released last Friday. Since the Grammys’ full performer lineup wasn’t as final as implied, what are the chances of seeing Beyonce on the show? She is leading the nominations this year. Will she perform? Place your bets. The Grammys are set for Sunday, 8PM on CBS.
The Weeknd was snubbed in the noms for the Grammys but he received lots of love in his homeland: he is the leading nominee for the 50th Juno Awards, with six nods, including artist, album, single and songwriter of the year. JP Saxe and Justin Bieber were runners-up with five noms. The Junos announced Celine Dion got another three nods too that bring her career total to get this…a record 73, just incredible really. The Weeknd swept the Juno Awards five years ago. Can he again this year? We’ll find out on May 16.
Lady Gaga is giving us a winter wonderland glimpse of the feature film House of Gucci she’s starring in alongside Adam Driver. They bundled up for the cozy first look that Gaga shared on her social earlier this week with the caption Mr. and Mrs. Gucci. Movie is a biographical crime film, telling the story of how Patrizia was tried and convicted of organizing the assassination of her ex-husband and former head of the Gucci fashion house. Joining the all-star cast is Al Pacino and Jared Leto. House of Gucci is scheduled to be released in theaters on Nov. 24. We never knew we wanted to be adopted by Driver and Gaga until we saw this pic.

A Slow Clap is required for Gwen Stefani’s latest announcement: Her new single Slow Clap is out today. Stefani giddies up for the single’s cover in her bedazzled and diamond-fringed cowgirl getup. There are a couple of Easter eggs in that cover art too. Slow Clap comes after her not a comeback single Let Me Reintroduce Myself that she released back in December.
