The Weeknd was the top winner at the Billboard Music Awards. He won 10 awards, which ore than doubled his career total of BBMAs. He had won 9 awards prior to this year. With his 19 awards, The Weeknd is now in fifth place on the all-time BBMA winners list, behind Drake who has 29. And The Weeknd wasn’t the only artist to make history last night. Speaking of Drake, he took home 2 awards, as did Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Machine Gun Kelly. Gabby Barrett won 3, Bad Bunny and BTS both got 4 and Bad Bunny earned 5.

But the most prestigious award of the night probably belonged to Pink as she was this year’s recipient of the Icon Award. She celebrated with a medley of her hits, like we anticipated. What we didn’t expect was the cute opening, she showcased her aerial theatrics with her daughter Willow on their shared song Cover Me in Sunshine. Pink is the 10th artist to receive the Icon Award at the BBMAs and at 41 years old is the youngest person to get to the award to date. Just last Friday, she released her documentary Pink: All I Know so Far.

Lil Nas X let it rip during his Saturday Night Live musical guest debut this past weekend, literally tearing his pants while performing his song Montero (Call Me By Your Name). Midway through his first song on the season 46 finale of the show, he appeared to split his black leather pants during a steamy pole dancing sequence reminiscent of the track’s controversial music video. First off, the wide-eyed look of surprise on Lil Nas X’s face when it happened was priceless. He finished out the song like a pro. Laughed off the whole thing on Twitter later. And he still got to perform his second song on the show, slowed this down for his new song Sun Goes Down. You can watch both the performances:
