Sam Smith dropped a new song yesterday! It’s called “Gimme” and it features Jamaican reggae/rap star Koffee and R&B singer Jessie Reyez. The song is from their upcoming album Gloria which is set to be released on January 27th. 

Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys also released a new song, paying tribute to his late brother, Aaron Carter. The song is called “Hurts to Love You” and Nick posted on social media saying “We all have someone in our lives that no matter what they do and how bad it hurts you still love them. So I worked it out the best way I know how.” On January 18th, Nick is going to be performing a benefit concert to raise awareness for mental health streaming live on Veeps.com. 

The Screen Actors Guild Awards is getting a new home! Netflix is going to be the new home for the awards show. For the upcoming show, Netflix is going to broadcast the winners live on their YouTube channel. Then, starting in 2024, the ceremony will be available to stream on Netflix itself. 

Many people are convinced that Vanessa Hudgens was the “friend” Austin Butler was crediting for encouraging him to play Elvis in The Hollywood Reporter’s “Actors Roundtable” Tuesday. The two of them dated from 2011 to 2020, and the story he told matched up with a similar story that Hudgens told on Live with Kelly and Ryan all the way back in 2019.
