Just when you thought the fast food chicken sandwich wars were over, McDonald’s has stepped in. The fast food giant took to Twitter to announce its testing two new sandwiches in Houston, Texas and Knoxville, Tennessee starting this week and they look a lot like some other popular sandwiches at Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, right down to the foil bag they come in.

In a tweet, Mickey D’s describes the two new items: “The Crispy Sandwich is simply topped with butter and crinkle cut dill pickles while the Deluxe is topped with tomatoes, lettuce, and mayo. Both served on a tasty buttery potato roll.”
So now through January 26th, 2020, lucky folks in Houston and Knoxville are getting a sneak peak, but the rest of the country may not be far behind. McDonald’s says, “Everyone else should stay tuned for what’s to come in 2020.”
