People are always trying to reinvent and create new and better things in this world. Like new and improved flip-flop sandals. Not really sure why anyone thought the flip-flop needed a new look but someone on Indiegogo is raising money for a shoe-flip-flop hybrid called a “Link” shoe. The flops apparently stay on by gripping the sides of your foot. So they don’t have straps or laces but look ridiculously bulky.
They’re calling them strapless flip-flops but they’re basically shoes with the top half cut off. The makers say they’re supposed to combine all the benefits of both a shoe and a flip-flop. They breathe well, have arch support, and they’re easier to run in than flip-flops are. They’re also ugly as sin.
It also appears that you can wear socks with them because everyone loves the sandals and socks look. However, not everyone thinks this is a dumb idea as almost 900 people have backed the campaign on Indiegogo so far, and they’ve raised over $73,000. They’re planning to sell them for $119, but you can get them right now for 69 bucks.
