Elton John will host an all-star benefit special aimed at providing some relief and entertainment for Americans locked down in their homes during the pandemic. Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert for America, a one-hour commercial-free special celebrating the nation’s resilience in fighting the COVID-19 virus will feature music from The Backstreet Boys, Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Mariah Carey and a number of other stars beaming in from their homes. All the performances will be filmed on the stars’ personal cell phones and other equipment in their living rooms as we’re all practicing self-distancing. It will air on Fox this Sunday at 9PM.

OneRepublic unveiled their hopeful new single Better Days yesterday. On the comforting songs, the band looks to a brighter future amid the chaos and fear of the current state of the world. According to frontman Ryan Tedder, the song was directly inspired by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic upending lives across the globe. The band unknowingly had got exposed to somebody with COVID-19 and ended up in quarantine in LA at Ryan’s studio for two weeks. With two songs left to finish on their album at the time, they wrote Better Days, talking about their experience. It’s featuring on their new album Human which is set for release May 8.
Justin Bieber took to social media to unveil a new compilation of his music and promised fans he’ll be dropping similar sets for the foreseeable future. You can expect the material on Tuesdays and Thursdays is what Justin told fans. First one dropped earlier this week, a five-track collection titled R&Bieber. It contains five tracks featured on The Biebs latest album Changes.

5 Seconds of Summer has been rolling out singles for their upcoming fourth studio album since last May and its latest offering a lovey-dovey jam called Wildflower. The fifth single takes root in the flashy 80s touches. The band’s new album Calm is out this Friday. It’s not the only 5SOS project dropping this week either. The group is also prepping a four-track remix collection, set to arrive tomorrow. The project features each bandmember reimaging a different track off the new album in collaboration with their producer.
