Beyoncé will receive a major honor at the upcoming 2020 BET Awards. The network announced she will be honored with the prestigious Humanitarian Award at the upcoming 20th annual show. The BET Awards began handing out the award in 2002 in order to honor celebs who donate their time and money to charitable causes. Other honorees include Muhammad Ali, Denzel Washington, Steve Harvey and more. Futhermore there are new additions to the event’s star-studded roster, including a tribute to Kobe Bryant by Lil Wayne and a memorial to Little Richard by Wayne Brady.
It’s anyone’s guess if Lizzo will win anything at the virtual BET Awards but she’s already made history: she is the first artists in the show’s 20 year history to be nominated for both best female R&B/pop artist and best female hip-hop artist in the same year. Making Lizzo’s achievement all the more impressive, no artist has ever been nominated in both of the corresponding male categories in the same year. Lizzo appears to have a good chance of winning best female artist, though you bet against Beyoncé, girl has won the award the last six years in a row. Find out who wins this Sunday on CBS at 8PM.
Another day, another Katy Perry tease about KP5! She revealed there’s a new song on the album dedicated to her unborn child. She said there’s a song on the record call What Makes a Woman. That is a hope I have for my future child is that she doesn’t have any limits on any of her dreams or what she wants to be or who she thinks she is. She can change whatever she wants. And I think that song is important to me and for her. Perry has yet to announce the title of this album but it’s expected to be here August 14.

Demi Lovato dropped by The Kelly Clarkson Show and it’s safe to say the chat was a mutual love fest with Kelly. First Clarkson thanked Demi for being so open about mental health. However Lovato was quick to return the compliment saying I wouldn’t be the artist or even the person I am with being so outspoken and vulnerable and fearless if I hadn’t had you to lok up to. She called Kelly one of her idols and said she wanted to be like her because Kelly is real and genuine. Clarkson was quick to show her gratitude but also add she’s definitely not like that all the time. It takes work and is a daily effort.
