A viral Facebook event named Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us currently has more than 1.4 million people signed up to attend the September 20 event in Nevada and an additional 1 million are interested. According to the description we’ll all meet up at the attraction, coordinate our entry and see them aliens. Miley Cyrus is the latest to join in on the memes since this emerged. She posted a throwback photo from an episode of Hannah Montana in which both she and Selena Gomez are dressed as aliens.

Ellie Goulding and Juice Wrld connected once again for the ominous Hate Me visual yesterday. The clip for the pair’s heartbreaking debut collaboration showcases social media’s negative impact and vicious cycle of emotions people go through when ending a relationship. When discussing the song, Goulding said, “the truth of the matter is that humans are crazy and do messed up things to people and that’s the truth. Sometimes you need to hear that…to sort of validate your own situation and it happens a lot.”

Snow Patrol’s 2006 ballad Chasing Cars has been named the most-played song of the 21st century by the British music licensing company PPL. Singer Gary Lightbody was presented an award on Tuesday who said the accomplishment is unbelievable. He went on to say Chasing Cars is a simple, emotionally open song and the way it unifies an audience is the thing he most cherishes about it. The track stayed on British charts for more than three years.

Ok so disclaimer first. The most played track on UK radio of the 21st century SO FAR! We are very well aware of the ‘so far’ bit. And the fact that it’s way WAY too early to be talking century just yet. Thank you to the @ppl_uk for giving us this award as part of their 85th anniversary festivities. 85 years in popular music is about as long as it can be. Seen it all. We are blown away that Chasing Cars has been played more than any other song on UK radio these last 19 years. Thanks to the stations and DJs that play it and to the fans that request it. It was played over 12,000 times on UK radio just last year so it’s still getting played so much (some of you are thinking “I know, enough already!”). . In our 25th anniversary year it’s a hell of a thing to find out. Big love all of you. gL.x

Katy Perry talked about her finally squashing the beef with Taylor Swift in a recent interview. She broke down how they just stopped fighting and avoiding one another to slowly becoming friends again. Perry realized how much they two of them have in common and they should celebrate and just be there for each other. She first apologized to Swift who later came up with their public reunion in the You Need to Calm Down video. Katy said she thinks it’s great they had the opportunity to have their relationship change and she hopes others can learn from it too.
