The originator of the Storm Area 51 internet hoax is citing concerns about organization and funding and has withdrawn from an event called Alienstock scheduled next week in the Nevada desert. Matty Roberts said he’s worried the event hosted by innkeeper Connie West in the tiny town of Rachel won’t succeed. West said she has 20 musical acts and two comedians booked her festival. She says a stage is on the way and the show will go on. However a statement on the official Alienstock site says the event has been called off and they’ll instead host a September 19 event at a venue in downtown Las Vegas. Find more details here.

Apparently, there’s only room for one killer mustache in pop. Or so it seems. Burno Mars had some thoughts when he saw The Weeknd has paired his new, natural hairdo with a 1970s-style mouth brow. But Burno had more to say joke tweeting ITS ON NOW!!!! When a fan posted a side-by-side of the men rocking their looks. The Weeknd has yet to respond to Bruno’s threats.
